Preparing for your Appointment
Appointment Time:
To optimize your appointment experience, we advise arriving 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled time. This proactive measure enables us to efficiently update your health information and make any essential preparations required for your visit.
Appointment Reasonings:
Preparing for your appointment in advance is advisable to ensure a productive session. We recommend compiling a list of your concerns, prioritizing the most pressing issue at the top. Presenting this list to your family doctor at the beginning of your appointment facilitates focused discussion and comprehensive care delivery.
When scheduling appointments, providing detailed information about your concerns or requirements assists our reception team in arranging timely and suitable visits for you. Please be mindful that addressing all concerns in a single visit may not always be feasible, and certain issues may necessitate a step-by-step, multi-visit approach to resolution. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated as we strive to deliver the highest standard of care tailored to your individual needs.
Forms:
If you have an appointment for forms
- Please let the receptionist know on arrival
- Ensure that you have completed your sections prior to your appointment
- Forms are not an insured service and/or not covered by OHIP, there will be a fee to complete forms/paperwork
Appointment Types:
We categorize appointments into 3 types
Primary Nursing (10 minutes) – Majority of the appointment is done by the nurse – B12 shot, allergy shot, liquid nitrogen treatment, ear flush, etc.
Short Appointment (10-15 minutes) – Acute medical conditions (UTI, sore throat, ear infection, etc.) or follow-up on chronic medical conditions (blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, etc.)
Long Appointment (15-20 minutes) – Mental Health, Forms, Physicals, Chart Review, etc.
Providing the receptionist with a brief overview of the purpose of your visit enables us to allocate the appropriate amount of time for your appointment, ensuring that you receive the comprehensive care you deserve.
